{Project 365} 49-52

All of the following project pictures were taken with my phone and more than likely posted on Instagram first before posting them here.

Hidden present for me from my mentor student! I love what this says! Don't you?
One snack left in the package. I like a good Fig Newton.
Modern: I used my "modern" phone technology to capture this icy moment on my way to work. We shall call it Florida snow!

{Project 365} Day 48: Dessert

One of the teacher perks is when you have a student who has a birthday and their mom sends cupcakes to school. This totally spoiled my lunch, but it was so worth it! I took this picture with my phone on my life planner to commemorate this picture of the day!
And for those of you who forgot, I teach high school!

{Project 365} Day 47: Makes Me Happy

What makes me happy? As you probably could have guessed....spending the day with my favorite kid is what makes me happy! I asked her what she wanted to do today and we did just that. We went to the Dollar Tree and McDonald's for lunch!

My Valentine's Day Bucket List Adventure

What do you want for Valentine's Day he asked? My response?

Let's cross some things off my 30 before 30 bucket list! He said okay. Our adventure began.

Our first course stop of the night took us to a restaurant featured on Diners. Drive Ins and Dives. This place is kind of off the grind, road side place that is easily looked over, but that's part of the adventure right?

We had to sit outside and it was a little chilly. The Hubs and I both ordered the Triple D Sandwich. I chose this because I wanted to eat something I've never had before (bucket list) and I wanted it to be apart of what Guy Fieri ate on his visit.

The sandwich itself was a large portion. It better of been for almost $10 each. I thought it was very tasty, but honestly it wasn't the best sandwich in the world. The flavors were a very nice combo, but if you didn't eat it quickly it did get soggy. Yuck! I was kind of proud of the Hubby for trying something new too! He is a picky eater and not always willing to try things that he's never had before. I can'y blame him. Meals should be enjoyable and over all this one was for our Valentines Day dinner.

Next we went to the shooting range. I was scared because I have never shot a real gun before. My Hubby loves shooting!

Here is the lovely wall decor!

Like I said before, my Hubby loves to go shooting and he is pretty good at it. We used a couple different targets. Again, I was very nervous. This was a very powerful gun. I think it would have been more enjoyable for me if I used a lower caliber, but this was a spur of the moment trip so we used what we had.
I on the other hand was not as accurate. Can't you tell?
It made me quite nervous of the bullet casings kept popping out of the gun after each shot. That is not how it looks in the movies!

Would I go back? I think I would go back with the Hubs, but like I said another gun would be preferred and I think I would also like to have a mouth guard because I was biting down really hard.

Side note: I really like the complimentary coffee station! It was a perfect ending to my first visit to a gun range.

{Project 365} Days 43-44 Sephora & Love

Today's pictures were taken on my phone on the fly! Of course, they do count for the project :)

I went to Sephora for the first time! It was intimidating because of the high end prices and all the variety. I am used to shopping at CVS and Wal-Mart. I ended up buying Sephora brand foundation and under eye concealer. I haven't tried it out yet, but I look forward to real soon.

I for my "love" themed picture, I chose to post my ticket stub for the movie "Old Fashioned." It is the complete opposite of modern day dating. It shows a Christian, more wholesome approach to dating. (The antithesis of the other movie premiering this weekend: 50 Shades). I can't remember the last time I went out to the movies so this was a nice change of pace to my usual hum-drum day to day.

{Project 365} Day 42: Pattern

I thought this prompt was a little difficult as first so I avoided it for a couple of days. I realized it wasn't so hard after the fact and when I had the sudden "A-ha!" moment that I could take a picture of my jacket. This moment was captured on my phone and also posted to Instagram.

This was on my way to work. Yes, I was safely parked and not crazily taking pictures and driving!

{Project 365} Day 39-40 Chaos and Writing

There always a mess after a tea party. Chaos prompt: f/2, 1/60s, 500 ISO, 50mm
Here I am writing a card for my mentor student. The me writing is blurry and out of focus while my desk is more in focus. This is not how I intended the picture to turn out, but I did the best I could without setting a timer and no tripod. f/5.6, 1/80s, 500 ISO, 18-55mm@45mm

{Project 365} Day 32-36

Day 32 “On My Table” f/2, 1/60s, 3200 ISO, 50mm. My tables aren't exquisitely decorated like out of a magazine. This is a quick, basic shot of the end table on my side of the bed.
Day 33 “Comfy” f/2, 1/60s, 1250 ISO, 50mm . I like to wear my HUbby's socks because they are big which to me makes them quite comfy.

Day 34 “Starts with P” Instagram phone picture when I decided to download some Youtube videos for my classes that day all before 7 am.
Day 35 “Pink” f/1.8, 1/25s, 3200 ISO, 50mm. This is a floor view of my camera bad on the floor.
Day 36 “Old School” (A) f/1.8, 1/60s, 2000 ISO, 50mm. I worked really hard for this letterman jacket in high school. By graduation, I had 16 varsity letters!
(B) f/1.8, 1/60s, 800 ISO, 50mm I added a Black and White action to the picture in Photoshop.
